Porcelain veneers procedure

This procedure is completed in three separate appointments.

First appointment:

Dr. Walters will take detailed records of your facial features, bite, teeth and gums. This information will be sent to our Master Lab Ceramist to begin designing a wax up of the proposed new smile. A wax up is a tooth model of the new smile that Dr. Walters will use to prepare your teeth.

Second appointment:

Dr. Walters will meticulously shape your teeth for the veneers. A temporary trial smile will be glued onto the teeth in order for you to evaluate the proposed new smile. This gives you the opportunity to test out the bite and evaluate the overall appearance to make certain that you approve of your new smile before the veneers are made.

Third appointment:

Your new veneers will be glued in at this third and final appointment. Dr. Walters will evaluate each veneer, one at a time checking for perfect fit, color and aesthetics. Your new smile is then ready to show off!
